The Film Society season runs from March to November each year. Screenings are for members only, so you have to join to enjoy most of our films. Guests cannot be admitted, unless specifically stated, in which case visitors are admitted as members' guests and a donation is payable at the door.

Our annual programme, as well as appearing on this web site, is published in a colour brochure which is distributed widely around the Wellington area. You will find it on the counters of most movie theatres, libraries, book shops and other venues. Membership runs 12 months from the month of joining. Download the Membership Form detailing our subscription rates. You can also download a PDF file of the 2008 Brochure Insert. This contains a membership application form and our screening schedule. The forms require a signature and should be posted to the Membership Secretary, Wellington Film Society, P O Box 1584, Wellington 6140, along with a cheque or credit card details (Visa or Mastercard) - allow two weeks for processing - or brought along to the first screening you wish to attend - but please be early.

We also offer a Membership Gift Certificate that you can purchase and give to your friends and loved ones. These are especially useful for Christmas which falls between our screening seasons. All you need to do is to post to the Membership Secretary a cheque (or credit card details - Visa or Mastercard) for the amount of the memberhip you are wanting the Gift Certificate for. Don't forget to include your return address. You will be mailed back a receipt (for you to keep) and the Gift Certificate. The person redeeming the Certificate will need to complete the shortened membership form on the reverse and present it at one of our screenings for their membership card. If the membership is taken out for one of our discounted memberships (student, senior citizen, etc) they will need to show proof at the time of redemption.
